Effective June 2022, December 2023 and each subsequent December.
The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, an amount of $500.00 from both the Calgary and Edmonton locations, to the Unifor Paid Education Leave (PEL) program. Such payment will be remitted on a yearly basis into a trust fund established by the Unifor National Union effective the first quarter following the date of ratification. Payments will be sent by the Company to the following address:

Subject to business requirement, the Company shall approve Education Leave, without pay, for the members of the bargaining unit at the request of the Union. Request for such leave of absence will be submitted at least 30 days in advance. Participants for the PEL program shall be selected by the Union. The Union will provide written confirmation to the Company of such selection and education leave dates. Employees participating in the PEL program will continue to accrue seniority and service as per Company practice and policy.
